The objective of this project is to construct a device that will detect a moving object and track it as long as the object remains in the general area. We will mount a camera onto a pan/tilt device which is connected to a computer or DSP board. We will produce image filtering software that will attempt to predict the path of the object as it moves through the camera's field of vision. We must also filter out certain frames since the camera will supply the images much faster than needed for our purpose. Removing excess frames will speed up our device.
