Research Thrust Area 2: Looking Inside a Network

Whereas Thrust Area 1 considers the infrastructure of interconnected networks and the interfaces between those networks, Thrust Area 2 looks into one of those networks. Thrust Area 2 is concerned with the behavior of the network itself, separate from the computers or other end-nodes connected to the network.
