Spectrum analyzers are important instruments when seeking to obtain the frequency domain content of signals. They basically take the Fourier spectrum of the signal.

The Laboratory has two spectrum analyzers.

• Agilent E4401B Spectrum Analyzer (5 KHz to 1.5 GHz)
• HP 3585B Spectrum Analyzer (20 Hz - 40 MHz)
