You will already be familiar with the use of oscilloscopes from your undergraduate laboratory experiences. These, along with oscilloscopes, are the most used instruments.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You need to check carefully the voltage and/or power limitations on many oscilloscope units, particularly higher end, high bandwidth units. Limits will normally be printed on the unit next to the channel input connection. If you see one, honor it.
The Laboratory has the following oscilloscopes:
- Agilent 54622 mixed signal oscilloscope - operates both as an analog and as a digital oscilloscope
- Tektronix TD540 digital oscilloscope (4 channel, 500 MHz )
- Tektronix 2465B oscillosope (4 channel, 400 MHz ). No manual available for this unit
